Daegu Facilities Corporation, 80% Rent Reduction for 592 Commercial Spaces for 6 Months
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] Daegu Facilities Corporation announced on the 14th that it will join the 'Good Rent Movement' to share the pain with small business owners struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The corporation decided to reduce 80% of the rent for six months for a total of 592 rental facilities it operates, including wholesale markets for agricultural and marine products, merchant public parking lots, underground shopping malls, Duryu Swimming Pool, and Daegu International Shooting Range. Sports facilities that were closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and privately commissioned public parking lots will be exempt from rent during this period.
In addition, management fees such as disinfection and cleaning costs (27.7~49.3%) for six months will be further reduced for the Concert House and the Daeshin and Daegu Station underground shopping malls.
The corporation expects that small business owners residing in rental shops and privately commissioned parking lots will be able to save 9.941 billion KRW in rent and management fees over six months through this measure.
