One Army Soldier Tests Positive Again for COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Yang Nak-gyu]An Army soldier who had been declared recovered from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) tested positive again.
According to the Ministry of National Defense on the 14th, as of 10 a.m. that day, one soldier from an Army unit in Seoul who had been declared recovered tested positive again and is currently undergoing treatment.
As a result, there are currently two COVID-19 patients being treated within the military. Previously, one Navy soldier in Jeju who tested positive again is receiving treatment. The military does not immediately send recovered personnel home or back to their units but places them under preventive quarantine for one week and conducts its own tests. The additional re-positive case was confirmed through the military's own testing.

The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the military is 39. No new cases have been reported for 22 consecutive days. The cumulative confirmed cases by branch are: Army 21 (20 recovered), Navy 1, Marine Corps 2 (2 recovered), Air Force 14 (14 recovered), and Ministry of National Defense direct units 1 (1 recovered). According to health authorities, 2 individuals are in isolation, and approximately 1,200 are under preventive quarantine according to the military's own standards.
