Belgium Surpasses 30,000 COVID-19 Cases... Sixth in Europe
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] The cumulative number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Belgium has surpassed 30,000.
On the 13th (local time), according to major foreign media, Belgian health authorities announced that the number of new COVID-19 cases increased by 942 the previous day, bringing the total confirmed cases to 30,589.
This is the sixth highest number in Europe, following Spain (169,496), Italy (156,363), France (132,591), Germany (127,854), and the United Kingdom (84,279).
The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Belgium increased by 303, totaling 3,903. Belgian health authorities reported that although confirmed cases are rising, the number of new hospital admissions is stabilizing.
