COVID-19 Field Department Daejeon Police Officer Found Dead... Investigation into Overwork and Other Causes (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] A female police officer in her 40s working in the field department for COVID-19 in the Daejeon area was found dead at her home.
According to the Daejeon Metropolitan Police Agency on the 13th, Officer A was reported to have died from a fall at her home in Jung-gu, Daejeon, around 4:25 PM on the 11th.
Officer A had been working at a police station in the Daejeon area and had been in charge of on-site inspections related to social distancing measures for COVID-19 since February.
The police are currently investigating the exact cause of death, including whether Officer A was overworked, while keeping open the possibility of a suicide.
