Gyeongnam Bank Steps Up to Support Social Enterprises
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] BNK Gyeongnam Bank is taking steps to coexist with local social enterprises struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the 13th, Gyeongnam Bank announced that it signed a 'Miso Box Business Agreement for the Revitalization of Changwon City Social Enterprises' with the Changwon City Social Enterprise Council.
According to this agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate mutually to help local social enterprises facing difficulties due to COVID-19 and to contribute to the spread of a sharing culture.
Gyeongnam Bank decided to purchase Miso Boxes (coffee, green tea, disposable items, etc.) produced by 'Joeun In Food,' a member of the Changwon City Social Enterprise Council, through its branches in the Changwon area.
The Changwon City Social Enterprise Council will allocate 2% of the amount purchased by Gyeongnam Bank as a donation, which will be delivered to the local underprivileged together with Gyeongnam Bank at the end of the year.
