[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Kyung Kye-hyun, President of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, stated that the response to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) should be "as if preparing for war."
President Kyung, marking his 100th day in office on the 28th, addressed employees through an internal broadcast, saying, "COVID-19 could seriously impact business this year."
He emphasized that "in wartime, situations change moment by moment, and strategies are established and adapted accordingly," highlighting the need for various adaptation methods to COVID-19.
He added, "Due to COVID-19, significant social changes such as remote work have become the standard (new normal), so we must establish various scenarios and prepare response measures to effectively adapt when an upturn occurs."
