KCCI Holds Labor-Management Cooperation Awards Ceremony... Paris Croissant and Seoul City Gas Receive Awards
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Paris Croissant and Seoul City Gas were selected for the 32nd Korea Labor-Management Cooperation Awards hosted by the Korea Employers Federation (KEF).
On the 13th, KEF held the '32nd Korea Labor-Management Cooperation Awards' ceremony at the KEF building in Mapo-gu, Seoul, selecting Paris Croissant as the grand prize winner in the large enterprise category, KEPCO KPS for the excellence award, and Seoul City Gas as the grand prize winner in the mid-sized and small enterprise category.
Paris Croissant, selected as the grand prize winner in the large enterprise category, was highly evaluated for never having experienced any labor disputes since its founding, including declaring labor-management harmony in 2008 and reaching a no-strike wage and collective agreement negotiation settlement in 2009.
Seoul City Gas, awarded the grand prize in the mid-sized and small enterprise category, was recognized for acknowledging the importance of labor-management harmony and creating a cooperative labor-management culture after going through a difficult period due to a strike in 2000. Seoul City Gas transformed into a family-friendly company by leading the 'Labor-Management Win-Win Declaration' in 2017, which became the foundation for its development as a comprehensive energy company.
Established in 1989, the Korea Labor-Management Cooperation Awards marked its 32nd year this year. KEF annually selects and awards companies where labor and management have joined forces to overcome crises and achieve growth and development. KEF continuously discovers cases of labor-management cooperation and disseminates the award-winning companies' examples in the field to promote a cooperative labor-management culture.
