Suwon City Distributes 430,000 Masks to 180,000 Students in Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, and High Schools
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Young-gyu] On the 13th, Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province distributed masks to all daycare center and kindergarten children, elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as special and lifelong school students in the area in time for the new school term.
Suwon City announced on the 13th that a total of 439,000 masks were recently distributed to approximately 183,200 students through schools and other channels.
The distribution per student is as follows: 3 masks per daycare center child; 2 masks per kindergarten, elementary, middle, high school, and alternative education institution student; and 3 masks per special school and lifelong school student. Additionally, 50 health masks were provided to each of the 235 elementary after-school care classrooms.
The masks provided this time include KF94/80 masks, filter-replaceable cotton masks, and health masks.

A city official emphasized, "Masks were distributed considering the health of students ahead of the new school term," adding, "We will create an environment where daycare center and kindergarten children, as well as students, can safely receive education."
