Emart Launches 65-Inch Smart TV Priced Around 500,000 Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Emart is launching a 65-inch 4K UHD TV priced in the 500,000 won range.
Emart announced on the 12th that it will start selling the 'Electroman 65-inch (163cm) Smart TV' nationwide from the 13th. The price is 559,000 won.
As OTT (Over The Top) services such as Netflix and Wavve expand, consumer demand for diverse video content consumption has increased. Emart planned the Electroman 65-inch Smart TV in collaboration with TG&Company (TG&Co.). The Electroman 65-inch Smart TV features shortcut buttons for Netflix and YouTube on the remote control.
Users can easily enjoy Netflix, YouTube, and more on their TV at home with just one shortcut button, without any complicated procedures, allowing convenient access to various video content. Additionally, with 4K UHD resolution, which is four times that of FHD, it is suitable for viewing ultra-high-definition videos.
After-sales service is available through over 100 TGS specialized service centers nationwide. The free service period is one year.
The reason Emart launched the Electroman 65-inch Smart TV is that consumers increasingly prefer larger TV sizes. Analyzing TV sales from last year and January to March this year, Emart found that the sales share of TVs 65 inches and larger is approaching 60% this year. The sales share of TVs 65 inches and larger increased from 51% last year to 59% this year. The 'Electroman TV' series, first introduced by Emart in April last year, surpassed cumulative sales of 10 billion won by March this year.
