Gwangju Dong-gu, Promotion of Green Road Park Landscape Improvement Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 10th that it will promote the landscape improvement project of Pureungil Park to establish a 'green infrastructure.'
Pureungil Park, with a total length of 3.75 km, has been used as an urban resting space not only for Dong-gu residents but also for citizens of Gwangju. However, some aging facilities have reduced convenience and safety for residents, and continuous facility improvements have been requested.
In particular, this project plans to actively reflect areas with frequent resident complaints, such as the Dong-gu mobile app 'Dudream' participation plaza and daily civil complaints.
Accordingly, the district will invest a budget of 100 million won to replace aging facilities such as wooden decks and supplement green areas with trees and flowers to create a space where flowers bloom throughout the four seasons.
Especially, this construction includes ▲ pavement maintenance of walking paths within the park ▲ pavement maintenance near the ground fountain ▲ supplementation of flowers in green areas, creating a landscape around the walking trails, and securing residents' safety, which is expected to increase user satisfaction.
The district plans to actively collect local residents' opinions by June, complete the detailed design service, start construction from July, and complete it within this year.
