Lotte Hi-Mart Launches Customer Participation Laptop Donation Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 10th that it will conduct a 'Laptop Donation Campaign' for students from low-income families who are starting online classes.
Funds will be raised from the proceeds of PCs (desktops, laptops, tablets) sold over three days starting from the 10th at more than 460 Lotte Hi-Mart stores nationwide and the Lotte Hi-Mart online shopping mall, and learning laptops will be delivered. The laptops will be distributed to children from low-income families nationwide who have difficulty obtaining devices for remote learning through the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation.
Lotte Hi-Mart has been donating electronic products purchased with part of the sales proceeds to various groups in local communities in need. Last month, it donated air purifiers, which saw a surge in demand due to increased indoor activities, to regional children's centers nationwide. The funds were raised by accumulating part of the sales amount from products sold on the Lotte Hi-Mart online shopping mall during January. In May last year, it also gifted laptops to 30 children from low-income families, prepared by accumulating part of the sales proceeds in celebration of Children's Day.
