30th Anniversary of KEPCO Industrial Development, Proclaims Energy Paradigm Innovation
Online Founding Ceremony Held on the 10th Due to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] KEPCO Industrial Development, a specialized energy solutions company, announced on the 10th that it held an online commemorative ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary. As a member company of the Korea Federation of Medium-sized Enterprises, KEPCO Industrial Development shared its founding address online in support of social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and all employees participated to exchange opinions on future strategic directions.
Since its establishment in 1990, KEPCO Industrial Development has focused on stable energy supply by carrying out operations and maintenance of fuel and environmental facilities at domestic thermal power plants, as well as electrical instrument metering services. CEO Hong Won emphasized in his commemorative speech, "Although the uncertainty of the business environment has increased due to rapid changes in the energy market, we have been able to achieve good results thanks to the dedication of over 2,600 employees," adding, "Our current innovation efforts, such as expanding the power IT business incorporating advanced technologies like remote metering and enhancing capabilities in renewable energy businesses based on solar power and ESS, will lay the foundation for the future paradigm shift in South Korea's energy industry."
