The recipients, totaling 13,428 people, were selected through a review committee on the 7th, and the full amount of 600,000 KRW will be paid in Haenam Love Gift Certificates. Those who applied for the agricultural and fishery public interest allowance can receive it by presenting their ID and verifying their identity at the local agricultural cooperatives in their respective towns and townships.
In particular, the agricultural and fishery public interest allowance, which was originally planned to be paid twice a year with 300,000 KRW each in the first and second halves, will be paid in full early to overcome COVID-19 and revitalize the local economy.
Haenam-gun coordinated with Jeollanam-do on the prompt payment schedule of the public interest allowance and decided to be the first in the nation to distribute the allowance, judging that urgent measures are needed for economic recovery.
Since the 8th, emergency management stabilization funds for small business owners have also been distributed for the first time in Jeollanam-do.
The emergency management stabilization funds for small business owners will provide 1 million KRW per location to about 5,600 small businesses and enterprises in the area, supporting those most severely affected by COVID-19.
The temporary living support fund of 2.6 billion KRW for recipients and lower-income groups, and the temporary support fund of 600 million KRW for child-rearing under the age of seven were budgeted as pre-established budgets and have been distributed since the 1st.
Haenam-gun’s swift response is interpreted as a result of anticipating significant economic downturn effects due to COVID-19 and preparing damage countermeasures in various sectors for proactive response.
Additionally, Haenam-gun issued an additional 30 billion KRW worth of Haenam Love Gift Certificates to secure resources in advance for various support funds and streamlined the support procedures as much as possible to ensure rapid delivery to residents.
The county quickly proceeded with the ‘Haenam-type Livelihood Stabilization Measures’ by preparing a second supplementary budget reflecting the government and Jeollanam-do’s supplementary budgets immediately after the first supplementary budget on the 31st of last month, investing in COVID-19 response and economic revitalization.
