View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea increased to 10,423 on the 9th.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on that day, the number of confirmed domestic cases increased by 39 compared to the previous day.
Ten patients were identified during the quarantine process. Additional patients in the metropolitan area and Daegu-Gyeongbuk region were 22 and 4, respectively.
By region, Seoul had the highest number with 12 cases, followed by Gyeonggi (10), Daegu (4), Gyeongnam (2), and Chungnam (1).

The number of patients who were declared recovered and released from isolation was 6,973, an increase of 197 from the previous day. The death toll rose by 4 during the same period to 204.
