KOFIA Hosts 'COVID-19 and Global Investment Trends Webinar' Series
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The Korea Financial Investment Association announced on the 9th that it will hold a webinar series from the 16th on the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on the global investment market.
The Financial Investment Association planned the webinar series to thoroughly examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global investment market and the response of local markets, as well as to support the overseas investment expansion of the Korean financial investment industry.
The first webinar will be held on the 16th of this month at 2 p.m. under the theme "COVID-19 and the Global Infrastructure Investment Market," co-hosted with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission. Experts from Australian investment institutions Frontier Advisors, Whitehelm Capital, and Stafford Capital Partners will brief on the current situation and investment strategies of the global infrastructure investment market.
The second webinar will be held on the 17th at 2 p.m. under the theme "The Impact of the National Lockdown on the Economy" in India, a key country in the New Southern Policy, co-hosted with local Motilal Oswal Financial Services. Senior economist Nikhil Gupta and others will analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Indian economy and the direction of the stock market.
Going forward, the Financial Investment Association plans to consecutively hold webinars with major overseas financial institutions in April and May on topics such as "Analysis of the Global IB's World Capital Market Investment Environment" and "Current Status and Prospects of the European Commercial Real Estate Investment Market."
Na Jae-cheol, chairman of the Financial Investment Association, said, "This webinar series will efficiently participate in our government's high-intensity social distancing measures while timely providing overseas investment trends affected by COVID-19 to domestic financial investment companies, overcoming the limitations of physically constrained overseas information-sharing channels, and preparing investment strategies for the post-COVID era."
