WEMAKEPRICE Increases Handled Products 8.5 Times with 'Long Tail Strategy'
Over 18,000 New Partners in 4 Months... Sales Increased 8-Fold
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Wemakeprice announced on the 9th that the number of products handled last month increased 8.5 times compared to the same period last year as a result of pursuing a 'long tail strategy' targeting consumers with a wide variety of products. The number of products handled in all 13 categories operated by Wemakeprice significantly increased. By category, the number of products increased from at least 3.4 times to 10.4 times, showing a well-balanced assortment of various product groups.
In November last year, Wemakeprice established a new partner support program, providing ▲ a 4% sales commission rate ▲ exemption from server usage fees ▲ weekly settlements to support partners. They are also aiming to hire 1,000 product planners (MDs) to collaborate with these partners by the end of this year.
Wemakeprice explained that from November last year, when the long tail strategy was officially launched, until March this year, the number of new partners joining Wemakeprice exceeded 18,000. Among them, about 12,000 partners are receiving support benefits from Wemakeprice. Not only is the number of partners increasing, but qualitative growth is also being achieved simultaneously. The sales generated by new partners on Wemakeprice in March increased more than eightfold compared to November last year.
