COVID-19 Cases Confirmed at US Military Base in Dongducheon
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu Reporter]A confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has occurred at a U.S. military base in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province.
This is the first COVID-19 case at the Dongducheon base and the 21st confirmed case related to the U.S. Forces Korea.
The U.S. Forces Korea Command announced on Facebook on the 8th that "a COVID-19 case has been confirmed at Camp Casey in Dongducheon."
The U.S. military is tracing soldiers who had close contact with the confirmed case and disinfecting places visited by the infected individual.
The U.S. military stated, "We will provide additional information promptly."

At the Pyeongtaek and Osan bases, the public health protection condition (HPCON) level has been raised to 'Charlie Plus,' which is a stricter level than the second-highest 'Charlie' stage.
