Africa Surpasses 10,000 COVID-19 Cases... "Actual Infections May Be Higher"
Infection Reports from 52 out of 54 Countries
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Africa has surpassed 10,000.
According to AP, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced on the 7th that the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Africa reached 10,075, with 487 deaths.
Among the 54 countries in Africa, the number of affected countries increased to 52 with the addition of the island nation S?o Tom? and Pr?ncipe. The only countries without reported confirmed cases are the small kingdom Lesotho and the island nation Comoros.
Among the confirmed cases, 913 patients have recovered.
