Korail New Employee Recruitment Schedule Delayed Again Due to COVID-19

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) has announced an additional postponement of the written exam schedule for the first half of the year new employee recruitment.
The written exam, originally scheduled for the 25th of this month, is now planned to be held on June 14th. A KORAIL official stated, "We considered holding the exam on Saturday the 13th, but since it overlapped with the Seoul city and local government civil service recruitment exams, we changed it to Sunday the 14th."
The candidates eligible to take this written exam are 43,263 applicants who passed the document screening among those who submitted applications in February.
Other schedules have also been delayed. The announcement of the written exam results is scheduled for June 24th, and the subsequent practical test and interview have been postponed to June 30th and July 6th to 9th, respectively.
The final successful candidate announcement and appointment schedule have also been changed to July 17th and the end of July.

A KORAIL official said, "Considering the nature of the written exam being held together in an enclosed space, we have decided to postpone the recruitment schedule once again. We will practice social distancing to overcome the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and do our best to protect the examinees."
