Shinhan Financial Group Recruiting Participating Organizations for Co-Parenting Sharing Center 'Shinhan Kkumdodamteo'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation announced on the 7th that it is recruiting participating institutions for the 3rd year of the 'Shinhan Kkum Dodamteo' program targeting basic local governments (cities, counties, districts) nationwide until the 20th of this month.
Shinhan Kkum Dodamteo is a project that supports after-school care activities for children of dual-income families and elementary school students, aiming to reduce childcare burdens and prevent career interruptions for women. It is conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the social welfare corporation Children and Future Foundation. Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation has been carrying out the project since signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in January 2018, and has completed the opening of a total of 76 Shinhan Kkum Dodamteo centers nationwide, starting with the first branch in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
This year marks the third year of the Shinhan Kkum Dodamteo project, and it will actively reflect the opinions of local governments and field sites to strengthen holiday and nighttime care programs. It also plans to offer a wider variety of educational programs, including increasing the number of financial education sessions compared to before. In connection with local 'Women New Work Centers,' it will also provide various job opportunities for women experiencing career interruptions.
The recruitment of participating institutions is being conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family until the 20th of this month. Local governments with accessible and safe idle spaces can apply regardless of their region. Upon selection as a Shinhan Kkum Dodamteo participating institution, support will be provided for space remodeling, equipment purchase costs, and educational programs.
