Gwangju Eco-Friendly Living Support Center Achieves Top National Grade
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 7th that the Gwangju Eco-friendly Living Support Center received the highest grade, S grade, in the '2019 National Eco-friendly Living Support Center Regular Evaluation' conducted by the Ministry of Environment.
The Gwangju Eco-friendly Living Support Center, designated by the Ministry of Environment and established in 2018 at Yangdong Subway Station with an area of 120㎡, promotes eco-friendly consumer education, formation of eco-friendly consumption culture, and support for the production and distribution of green products with the support of Gwangju City and the Ministry of Environment.
In this evaluation, the center achieved excellent results in 13 indicators across three areas: organizational management through active goal setting and vigorous activities based on a high understanding of the project, project performance, and efforts to promote the project.
By category, the center was highly evaluated for creating educational content and textbooks to actively spread green consumption culture, holding several environmental label certification briefings for local companies to expand the production of green products in the region, providing consulting and fee support to help small businesses obtain environmental label certification, and closely collaborating with local governments such as Gwangju City and autonomous districts to revitalize the distribution of green products.
