Recently, due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation and the postponement of school openings, the time that adolescents spend at educational facilities such as academies and private institutes has increased. Although some facilities have decided to close temporarily or suspend operations, strict compliance with prevention guidelines such as disinfection has become even more important when operation is unavoidable.
Accordingly, Songpa-gu plans to alleviate residents' concerns by verifying compliance with prevention guidelines at academies and private institutes and attaching the ‘Songpa Saem Clean Zone’ certification mark, which guarantees safety at the district level.
Previously, from February to March, Songpa-gu supported disinfection for 993 small-scale and small businesses selected by the Gangdong-Songpa Office of Education among a total of 1,959 academies and private institutes in the area.
This ‘Songpa Saem Clean Zone’ certification mark will be attached to facilities where additional self-disinfection is regularly conducted and safety is confirmed among the academies and private institutes that the district previously supported with disinfection.
The district plans to provide each facility with the ‘COVID-19 Infection Prevention Disinfection Guidelines’ to ensure thorough self-disinfection.
In addition, it will continuously monitor whether the following rules are well observed: ▲checking the temperature and respiratory symptoms of workers and visitors and whether masks are worn ▲provision of disinfection supplies such as hand sanitizers ▲maintaining at least 1 meter distance between users within the facility ▲disinfecting and ventilating the facility at least twice a day ▲keeping a list of visitors.
