Industrial Research Institute to Promote Research Collaboration with Italy's European University Institute
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] On the 6th, the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET) announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the European University Institute in Italy on the 31st of last month to promote joint research and expand information and personnel exchanges.
The European University Institute is a university and research institute established in 1972 with the joint participation of 24 European member countries including Italy, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. It offers master's and doctoral programs related to European integration and global political and economic fields.
KIET is a government-funded research institute established in 1976 to formulate government industrial policies.

A KIET official stated, "This cooperation agreement will serve as an opportunity to expand economic and industrial research collaboration between the two institutions and is expected to contribute to the expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries."
