Daegu Police Conducting Search and Seizure Targeting Shincheonji Daegu Church Executives (Update)

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] The Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 6th that it conducted a search and seizure targeting executives of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus in Daegu.
The Intelligent Crime Investigation Unit 2 of the Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency deployed 17 investigators this morning to carry out a search and seizure of mobile phones and electronic devices at the residences of Shincheonji Church executives.
The search and seizure were reportedly conducted based on a complaint filed by the Daegu City government in February.

Previously, Daegu City filed a complaint on February 28 against all involved parties, including those responsible for submitting Shincheonji Daegu Church data, for deliberately omitting and submitting the list of believers, on charges of violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act.
