Jung Eun-kyung, head of the COVID-19 Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters, stated at a regular briefing on the afternoon of the 6th, "So far, there have been 51 confirmed cases of testing positive again after being released from quarantine."
Among these, 7 individuals from Pureun Nursing Home located in Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongbuk, who were initially confirmed positive and then released from quarantine, tested positive again in subsequent diagnostic tests. This includes 18 cases of re-confirmation in the Daegu area.

Head Jung said, "Since the positive results were confirmed again within a very short period after release from quarantine, it is considered to be reactivation rather than reinfection," adding, "The epidemiological investigation team will go on-site to conduct an epidemiological investigation on the cases confirmed as testing positive again."
