Seoul Reports 11 New COVID-19 Cases, 9 Are Overseas Entrants
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] In Seoul, 11 additional cases of COVID-19 were confirmed, of which 9 were found to have entered the country from overseas, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that from midnight on the 5th to 10 a.m. on the 6th, 11 new COVID-19 patients were recorded. Among them, 9 were directly infected through overseas contact, 1 was secondarily infected from an overseas contact, and 1 was related to Manmin Central Church.
Among the 9 patients infected through overseas contact, 3 had visited the United States and 3 had visited the United Kingdom, while 1 each had visited Canada and Turkey.
Another patient entered the country on the 3rd after traveling through five European countries: France, Spain, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. The test on the day of entry was 'inconclusive,' but a retest was conducted the next day, and a final positive diagnosis was confirmed on the 5th.
