On the 6th, the Gwangju Bukbu Police Station announced that A (19), who was arrested on theft charges, reported fever and cough symptoms, prompting temporary restrictions on access to the Criminal Division and Ilgok Police Substation, except for essential personnel.
A is accused of stealing and driving three vehicles from an automobile repair shop in Buk-gu, Gwangju, around 2 a.m. on the 5th.
According to the police, A was caught by the victim, who tracked one of the vehicles using a GPS tracking device, and was handed over to the Ilgok Police Substation that morning.
A had a normal body temperature at the substation but reported fever and cough symptoms after being transferred to the Criminal Division. The police took A to a screening clinic for testing.
