Exchanging Cloth Masks and Portable Hand Sanitizers for Residents Donating KF80 or Higher Grade Health Masks
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dobong-gu (Mayor Lee Dong-jin) conducted a 'Good Mask Sharing Campaign' encouraging individuals to give up their personal supply of health masks to medical staff and vulnerable groups who need masks more amid the prolonged COVID-19 situation.
On the 3rd, the mayor of Dobong-gu, along with volunteers at Changdong Station, exchanged cloth masks and portable hand sanitizers for residents donating KF80 or higher-grade health masks.
Those without health masks to donate at the site participated in the campaign by placing a participation sticker on a signboard that read, "I will give up my mask to those who need it."
This campaign was held eight times from March 18 to April 3 at Ssangmun Station, Changdong Station, Banghak Station, Dobongsan Station, Nokcheon Station, and the main entrance of Homeplus, together with volunteers.
The donated health masks will be distributed to medical staff, health-vulnerable groups, and occupations vulnerable to infection.
The district is distributing 500,000 dental masks, five per person, to seniors aged 65 and over, people with disabilities, basic livelihood security recipients, near-poverty groups, and single-parent families to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
