Shinhan Card Donates 20,000 Hand Sanitizers to Daegu and Gyeongbuk Regions
Joint Donation with Homeplus e-Paran Foundation
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 5th that it donated more than 20,000 hand sanitizers to residents of Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions who are struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), in collaboration with the Homeplus Social Contribution Foundation e-Paran Foundation.
The donated hand sanitizers were delivered to elementary school after-school care classrooms, 10 community centers in Daegu, three social welfare centers where Shinhan Card Areumin Libraries were established, Gyeongju and Gyeongsan City Halls, and the Gumi City Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters. In particular, employees from both companies who gathered to share the difficulties of the local community and customers personally created and attached support messages and packaged the items through volunteer activities.
Both companies plan to continuously expand social contribution activities supporting local farms and citizens, such as increasing fresh farm produce supply and offering discounts on daily necessities.
