According to Gwangju City and health authorities on the 5th, A (23, female), residing in Seo-gu, Gwangju, tested positive for COVID-19 the day before.
A arrived in Korea from Qatar through Incheon International Airport around 4 p.m. on the 3rd. Following special entry procedures according to the overseas entrant response guidelines, she took the KTX around 10:40 p.m. and arrived at Gwangju Songjeok Station at 12:20 a.m. on the 4th.
While under self-quarantine, A took her father's car around 3 p.m. to visit the screening clinic at Seo-gu Public Health Center in Gwangju, where a specimen was collected. She was confirmed positive around 10 p.m. and is currently receiving treatment at Bitgoeul Jeonnam National University Hospital.
