Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital Discharges 80s COVID-19 Confirmed Patient (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] An octogenarian who was discharged after receiving treatment at Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province on the 5th, an 81-year-old woman, Ms. A, residing in Minrak-dong, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 around 9 a.m. that day.
Ms. A was admitted to Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital on the 13th of last month and was transferred from the intensive care unit to the 8th-floor ward on the 18th. The 8th-floor ward is where a cluster COVID-19 infection occurred. She was discharged on the 23rd and stayed at home before undergoing a drive-through test using a family vehicle on the 4th.
Close contacts include three family members and one caregiver, totaling four people. Among them, the caregiver is a woman in her 60s living in Yangyang, Gangwon, who works at St. Mary's Hospital and was confirmed positive on the 4th.
