[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Dongbu Fire Station (Chief Yang Younggyu) has requested a ban on illegal parking and stopping around fire hydrants to secure space for firefighting activities and rapid access to firefighting water at disaster sites.
According to Dongbu Fire Station on the 3rd, following the amendment of the Road Traffic Act last August, a fine of 80,000 KRW for passenger cars and 90,000 KRW for vans will be imposed if illegal parking or stopping occurs within 5 meters of a fire hydrant.
