Faculty Council Launches Fundraising Campaign for Scholarship Fund Targeting Faculty Members

Key officials have pledged to donate a certain amount of their salaries, and professors have also resolved to carry out a fundraising campaign.
According to Chosun University on the 2nd, President Min Young-don decided to donate 60% of his monthly salary, and key officials such as heads of departments and offices decided to donate an amount equivalent to 30% of their monthly salary over three months as a student fund to overcome COVID-19.
In addition, the Chosun University Professors' Council also decided to conduct a fundraising campaign among faculty members to establish a scholarship fund to overcome COVID-19.
At the delegates' meeting held on the 1st, the Professors' Council agreed on the necessity of fundraising and resolved to proceed with voluntary fundraising. Details such as the amount and method of fundraising will be finalized after a process of gathering opinions.
Earlier, the Chosun University Staff Labor Union agreed to carry out a fundraising campaign among its members to support the local community suffering economic difficulties due to COVID-19. The campaign is ongoing until the 10th.
The Staff Labor Union is also conducting the "Chosun University Relay Blood Donation Service" to alleviate the severe blood shortage caused by COVID-19.
