View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The police have requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 20s serving as a social service agent who illegally accessed personal information and handed it over to Jo Joo-bin (24, in custody), the operator of the Telegram 'Baksa Bang' (Doctor's Room).
The Cyber Safety Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 2nd that they have applied for an arrest warrant against former social service agent A (26) on charges including violation of the Personal Information Protection Act. The prosecution has filed the arrest warrant request for A with the Seoul Central District Court.
According to the police, A is suspected of illegally accessing the personal information of about 200 people and providing the personal information of 17 of them to Jo. It was confirmed that A, who was a social service agent, was responsible for assisting with the issuance of resident registration certificates and extracts at a community service center in Seoul.

The police plan to continue investigating whether A has additional offenses and if there were any accomplices. A police official stated, "We are also verifying whether any illegal acts were committed by the public officials at the community service center where A worked."
