March Shipping Product Transaction Amount Increased by 22% Compared to Previous Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Wemakeprice announced on the 2nd that continuing remote work due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has resulted in positive outcomes in both performance and employee satisfaction.
Wemakeprice's transaction amount for shipped products in March increased by 22% compared to the previous month. Wemakeprice explained that as the COVID-19 situation continued, online consumption increased, and productivity improved through efficient work. Employee satisfaction was also found to be high. According to a survey on remote work satisfaction, over 89% responded that they were 'very satisfied' or 'satisfied.' Regarding work efficiency, 78.2% answered 'very efficient' or 'efficient,' and 16.3% responded 'similar,' indicating that about 95% evaluated it positively.
The biggest advantage of remote work was cited as reduced stress from commuting time (39.8%). This was followed by improved work productivity and efficiency (23%), and the ability to reduce unnecessary face-to-face tasks (meetings, reports, etc.) (16.7%). A Wemakeprice official stated, "We prioritized the health of our employees and quickly established a remote work environment, and have been working remotely for over a month," adding, "We believe the positive effects are significant as employee satisfaction and work efficiency have increased."

Wemakeprice headquarters employees have been working remotely for six weeks since February 24. Customer center employees began remote work on the 18th of last month after strengthening remote access environments such as expanding virtual private network (VPN) servers and implementing redundancy configurations. Additionally, during the recruitment process, they have been conducting phone and video interviews with applicants' consent, advancing an 'untact' process.
