Ulsan City Invests 520 Million KRW to Install 40 New Bus Information Terminals
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju-cheol In] Ulsan City announced on the 2nd that it will launch the '2020 Bus Information System Expansion Project,' which provides real-time information such as expected bus arrival times to improve convenience for public transportation users.
To this end, the city will invest a total of 520 million KRW this year and plans to newly install bus information terminals at 40 bus stops by the end of July.
In addition, 17 outdated bus information terminals will be replaced and installed with the latest equipment (LED) that is clearly visible even during the day. Since the Ulsan city bus information terminals were established in 2005, the expansion project has been promoted annually, and currently, terminals are installed and operated at 1,302 locations, accounting for 42.7% of the 3,046 city bus stops. After the additional installations are completed this year, the total will increase to 1,342 locations (44.1%).

Previously, the city spent a budget of 1.5 billion KRW last year to install 96 new bus information terminals, replace 51 outdated terminals, and relocate 8 terminals, mainly in industrial complexes and rural areas such as Ulju-gun on the outskirts of the city center.
