[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] As the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) spreads worldwide, various hotel package products are being offered for newlyweds whose honeymoon plans have been disrupted.
Lotte Hotel Jeju announced on the 2nd that it will sell the ‘My Wedding Day’ package, consisting of various events for newlyweds, until June 30.
The My Wedding package includes a cake and wine inspired by the sculpture ‘LOVE’ by artist Robert Indiana as a welcome courtesy, and the room decorated with colorful balloons and a handwritten congratulatory message welcomes the newlyweds.
Among them, the ‘Premium’ type offers a Premier Ocean Room with an emerald sea view, while the ‘Slim’ type provides a Deluxe Mountain Room with a panoramic view of the beautiful Hallasan Mountain. Guests receive a specially made card key holder with the scent of wildflowers, a mini bouquet made of eucalyptus and stocks, early check-in at 12 PM, and late check-out at 2 PM. Breakfast, Windmill Lounge access, and free parking at Gimpo Lotte Mall are also included.
For a 2-night stay, an additional benefit of dinner for two at the outdoor buffet restaurant ‘Lake Plaza’ is provided. For a 3-night stay, the Premium type offers a 70-minute treatment for one person at ‘V Spa’ and a set of three Valmont travel kits, while the Slim type offers an upgrade to a Deluxe Terrace Ocean Room. Package prices start at 370,000 KRW for the Premium type and 280,000 KRW for the Slim type, excluding taxes and service charges.

A representative of Lotte Hotel Jeju said, “The number of inquiries from honeymoon travelers has increased by about 35% compared to the end of February,” adding, “As the weather began to warm up in April, inquiries surged, so the honeymoon package period, originally scheduled to end in late April, has been extended until June, and additional benefits reflecting new customer needs have been added.”
