[Photo] Warm Hands Continue to Overcome the COVID-19 Crisis
Park Yong-man, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Donated Funds and Masks to Korea Racing Authority Dongdaemun Branch, Dongan Church, Neulbom Knit, and the Association of Daycare Centers
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Warm-hearted support continues to help Dongdaemun-gu, which is doing its best to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) announced on the 1st that six organizations, including the Korea Racing Authority Dongdaemun Branch, donated masks and cash to Dongdaemun-gu.
The Korea Racing Authority Dongdaemun Branch (Branch Manager Song Byung-gon) delivered 2,000 masks to be used for infection prevention among low-income vulnerable groups in the region due to the widespread spread of COVID-19. The Korea Racing Authority Dongdaemun Branch had also donated 10,000 masks through the Dongdaemun-gu Social Welfare Council on March 12.
Nulbom Knitwear, a knitwear specialized manufacturer in Jangan 1-dong (CEO Lee Hye-sook), also personally produced and delivered 200 knit masks. The knit masks will be distributed to low-income groups and visitors through the local community center.
Along with mask donations, a series of cash donations is also continuing.
The Dongdaemun-gu Public, Private, and Home Daycare Association donated 18.2 million won to help neighbors overcome COVID-19; Earth Environment Group, a construction waste collection and transportation company located in Jangan-dong (CEO Kim Seul-gi), donated 10 million won; Park Yong-man, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, donated 8 million won; and Dong-an Church in Imun-dong (Senior Pastor Kim Hyung-jun) donated 5 million won.
The donated funds will be delivered to neighbors struggling due to COVID-19 through the district's Social Welfare Council.
