[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] The price of Bitcoin, the leading virtual currency (cryptocurrency), has remained largely unchanged from the previous day, indicating that the coin market is stable without significant fluctuations. This contrasts sharply with the domestic stock market, which fell nearly 4% in a single day.
According to the domestic cryptocurrency exchange Upbit on the 1st, as of 4:25 PM, the price of Bitcoin stood at 7.71 million KRW, down 1% from the previous day. The price showed little volatility, recording a high of 7.82 million KRW and a low of 7.63 million KRW on the same day.
Other cryptocurrencies such as Ripple and Ethereum are also quiet. At the same time, Ripple remained unchanged at 211 KRW compared to the previous day. Ethereum was trading slightly down by 0.22% at 161,200 KRW compared to the previous day.

This is in stark contrast to the domestic stock market, which fell more than 3% in a single day. Due to selling pressure from foreigners and institutions, both the KOSPI and KOSDAQ fell by over 3%. The KOSPI closed at 1,685.46, down 3.94% (69.18 points) from the previous trading day, while the KOSDAQ ended at 551.84, down 3.03% (17.23 points).
