Gyeonggi Province and Social Welfare Fund, 1.2 Billion KRW Support for 12,000 Vulnerable Households
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province, Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest, and Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation will provide 1.2 billion KRW in special COVID-19 donations as gift certificates worth approximately 100,000 KRW (local currency, Onnuri gift certificates) to 12,000 vulnerable households in the province.
On the 1st, Gyeonggi Province announced that Lee Byung-woo, Director of Welfare Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, Choi Eun-sook, Secretary General of Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest, and Jin Seok-beom, CEO of Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation, held a 'Overcome Together' collaboration ceremony at the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest regarding this matter.
According to this collaboration, the three organizations plan to select and support households affected by COVID-19 in the province that have not received support from the government or local governments but need assistance, through recommendations from city and county governments.
