Changjinwon, Real-Time Video-Based Online Mentoring Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (President Kim Kwang-hyun) announced on the 1st that from April this year, it will provide an online mentoring service in video format to companies selected for startup support projects. Entrepreneurs can receive real-time video mentoring services anytime and anywhere using smartphones, PCs, and other devices through the online mentoring system.
To offer the mentoring program, which had been operated only offline, in an online format, the Institute developed an advanced online mentoring system in the second half of last year. To provide customized experts required by startup companies with various items participating in the startup support projects, a mentor search function was introduced using job category, specialty, and keyword input methods. Additionally, to prevent cases where matching does not occur due to scheduling conflicts, mentor schedules are provided to entrepreneurs in advance. Furthermore, to overcome the limitations of non-face-to-face online interactions, user functions such as video, audio, chat, document sharing, recording, annotation, and web search were significantly expanded and incorporated into the system.
To continuously provide high-quality mentoring services centered on excellent mentors to entrepreneurs, a function for ongoing evaluation of active mentors was also installed in the system. Mentoring evaluation scores are reflected in mentor assessments to operate a grading system, and mentors who fall below certain standards are automatically removed from the system. In addition, a separate 'Improvement Suggestions' window was established within the system to continuously monitor feedback from mentoring users.
