Daegu Jamieju Hospital 'Cluster Infection Aftermath'... 50s Schizophrenia Patient Death
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Hee-eun Park] A man in his 50s has died at Jaimiju Hospital in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, where a cluster infection of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) occurred.
On the 1st, Daegu City announced that a man identified as A (57), who tested positive for COVID-19, died at around 2:30 a.m. that day.
It is known that Mr. A had been hospitalized at Jaimiju Hospital since February 2015 and suffered from underlying conditions such as schizophrenia, diabetes, and hypertension.
He underwent a COVID-19 test following a full-scale survey conducted by Daegu City on the 27th and was confirmed positive on the 28th. He was receiving treatment at Daegu Medical Center and passed away at around 2:30 a.m. that day.
