Gwanak-gu, Special Management for Overseas Arrivals
Strengthening Management Measures for All Overseas Entrants from Entry Point... Support for Call Van Operation and Dedicated Management for Overseas Students with Seoul National University Starting Early March
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) is strengthening the management of overseas arrivals in response to the recent surge in COVID-19 confirmed cases imported from abroad.
For overseas arrivals who need to return home using public transportation, a dedicated airport bus will transport them to Gwanak-gu Office, where they will undergo COVID-19 testing and be required to self-quarantine for two weeks.
This measure aims to block the use of public transportation by overseas arrivals from the time of entry, in coordination with Seoul City's emergency transportation measures, minimizing contact with others to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Overseas arrivals residing in Gwanak-gu must board a dedicated airport limousine at Incheon Airport and, upon arrival at Gwanak-gu Office, undergo COVID-19 testing at the Gwanak-gu screening clinic.
Afterwards, they will receive guidance on two weeks of self-quarantine and preventive measures, and must return home using a private car or official vehicle.
Since early March, Gwanak-gu has been conducting special management in cooperation with Seoul National University by supporting call van operations from the airport to Seoul National University's temporary residence facilities or student housing for international students arriving from abroad.
Additionally, Seoul National University plans to extend the operation of temporary residence facilities until the end of April, following the implementation of special entry procedures for all overseas arrivals starting March 19.
