Hanssem "Supporting Firefighters on the Frontline of COVID-19"
Hanssem is delivering bedding and other supplies donated for frontline firefighters related to COVID-19 to the Changwon Fire Headquarters.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Comprehensive home interior specialist Hanssem (CEO Kang Seung-soo) announced on the 30th that it is donating supplies for firefighters who are on the front lines transporting patients with the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and supporting disinfectants for quarantine through its Homecare Division.
Firefighters are responsible for first contact and transport when patients occur, and during this process, they are exposed to the risk of infection and sometimes self-isolate in temporary facilities after returning. However, self-isolation locations suffer from a double burden due to a lack of supplies such as bedding to use.
Accordingly, Hanssem, together with the National Fire Agency, the Korea Firefighters Association, and the Korean Red Cross, supported 1,230 sets of bedding including blankets and comforters to the Incheon Fire Headquarters on the 17th, Changwon Fire Headquarters on the 20th, and Gwangju Fire Headquarters on the 27th.
In addition, on the 17th, 500 liters of disinfectant for quarantine were also provided to the Central 119 Rescue Headquarters. The National Fire Agency is supporting on-site quarantine activities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 but has recently faced difficulties in securing disinfectants for this purpose.
