SK Telecom, Ranked No.1 in National Customer Satisfaction for 23 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] SK Telecom announced on the 23rd that it has achieved the remarkable feat of ranking first place in the mobile telecommunications sector for 23 consecutive years in the 2020 National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) survey selected and announced by the Korea Productivity Center.
The 23 consecutive years of first place is the longest record across all industries surveyed by the NCSI. The NCSI is an index that quantifies customer expectations, perceived quality, overall satisfaction, and customer complaints regarding products and services, and is regarded as the most prestigious customer satisfaction index in Korea.
In particular, this year’s first place is considered even more meaningful as it reflects the satisfaction of customers using 5G services. SK Telecom commercialized the world’s first 5G service in April last year. As of the end of January this year, the number of subscribers exceeded 2.2 million.
SK Telecom also recorded the highest-ever score (79 points) in the mobile telecommunications sector in this year’s NCSI. Additionally, SK Telecom’s ICT family company SK Telink received its highest-ever score, maintaining first place in the international calling sector for 7 consecutive years, and SK Broadband secured first place for 10 consecutive years in the IPTV and high-speed internet sectors.
