Gangnam-gu Volunteer Disaster Prevention Team Disinfection in Daechi-dong Academy District
Disinfecting Handles and Buttons Daily at 800 Academies... Volunteering in 22 Buildings Until the End of COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) began disinfection activities on the 13th in Daechi-dong, where academies are densely located, along with the 'Self-Disaster Prevention Group' consisting of about 300 residents, to prevent the local spread of COVID-19.
Established in 2008, the Self-Disaster Prevention Group recently decided to directly disinfect the entire Gangnam-gu area and will continue disinfection activities focused on vulnerable areas such as public restrooms, commercial buildings, and entrances of apartment complexes in 22 neighborhoods including Nonhyeon 2-dong until the COVID-19 situation ends.
In particular, about 40 members of the Self-Disaster Prevention Group visited 800 academies in Daechi-dong on the 14th in pairs and wiped elevator buttons, stair railings, doors, and handles?areas frequently touched by students?with cloths soaked in antibacterial disinfectant.
