Ma Yun Sends Masks to Korea and Japan, Donates 1 Million to the US as Well
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Jack Ma, the founder of Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba and former chairman of Alibaba, announced on the 13th that he will donate 1 million masks and 500,000 COVID-19 test kits to the United States.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Ma said, "In the era of globalization, humanity faces a major challenge from the pandemic together," adding, "It is not something any one country can solve alone; everyone must join hands and respond together."
The Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation, both established by the former chairman Ma, recently donated 1 million masks each to South Korea, Japan, and Iran.
They also plan to send 1.8 million masks and 100,000 COVID-19 test kits to countries such as Italy and Spain.

Ma added, "We are paying attention to the COVID-19 outbreak situation and the shortage of medical resources in Africa, and we are preparing to send medical supplies to Africa."
