Gwangju Gwangsan-gu 'COVID-19 Spread' Social Distancing Campaign Launched
Operation of '1·1·1 Movement' and 'Cafeteria Second Shift System'... Pilot Installation of Transparent Curtains at Administrative Welfare Centers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Samho) announced on the 13th that starting from the 13th, it will implement the ‘1·1·1 Movement’ and ‘Two-Shift System for Cafeterias’ as part of the ‘Social Distancing’ campaign to block community transmission of COVID-19.
This measure was promoted to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through droplets.
It aims to move away from the existing cafeteria operation method where people sat facing each other at tables during lunch, and instead have all users eat on only one side of the table to maintain a certain distance.
First, the 1·1·1 Movement, which includes ‘lining up in one row, serving food in one row, and eating in one direction,’ will be initiated.
Furthermore, considering that the number of dining seats will be reduced by half, the serving will be divided into two shifts from 11:30 AM to 12:10 PM and from 12:10 PM to 12:40 PM.
In addition, to completely block infectious diseases, temperature checks, mask wearing, and hand sanitizer use will be enforced before entering the cafeteria.
Besides this, the district will pilot the installation of transparent partitions at the civil service counters of the Usan-dong Administrative Welfare Center to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
After installation, feedback from residents and public officials will be collected to decide whether to expand this to other neighborhoods.
