Bohae Brewery, 100% Rent Reduction for Headquarters Youth Store... Joining the 'Good Rent' Movement
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Bohae Brewery (CEO Lim Ji-seon) is joining the "Good Rent" campaign to ease the pain of local small business owners suffering from sales declines due to the spread of COVID-19.
On the 10th, according to Bohae Brewery, a meeting of good landlords in Mokpo City was held at Mokpo City Hall with the attendance of Je Yong-beom, Head of Bohae Brewery's Management Support Headquarters, Mayor Kim Jong-sik of Mokpo, and other officials. Bohae decided to fully waive the monthly rent for three months for 10 young merchants residing in the headquarters building to promote the spread of good rent.
Since February last year, a youth store led by young people from Jeonnam Province has opened in the Bohae Brewery headquarters building in Daedan-dong, Mokpo City. The youth stores, started in cooperation between Bohae and Mokpo City to support local youth entrepreneurship, include a total of 10 shops such as a video shooting studio and a handmade accessory shop.
Bohae, which conducted the selection and training of young entrepreneurs together with Mokpo City last year, has decided to support rent for young merchants whose sales have plummeted due to COVID-19.
Park Chan-seung, head of the PR team, said, "Although Bohae is also experiencing difficulties due to the spread of COVID-19, we decided not to collect rent as a way to share the pain of local residents as a representative local company," adding, "We will continue to consider practical measures that help the lives of local residents, such as freezing soju prices and good rent."
