[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Samsung Card announced on the 10th that it will hold an event offering benefits when using subscription payment-related services this month.
Until the 31st, customers who make their first subscription payment with Samsung Card on 'Watcha Play' and 'FLO' will receive a 30% cashback benefit. Additionally, for the subscription to 'Wavve,' which allows real-time terrestrial broadcasting viewing, customers who make their first payment with Samsung Card will receive a 3,000 KRW cashback for both the 2nd and 3rd payments. A 3,000 KRW cashback is also provided upon first joining the paid membership 'Super Club' on the delivery platform 'Yogiyo.'
Along with this, benefits are offered to customers who set up automatic payments for living expenses such as apartment management fees. If customers apply for and complete automatic payment services for apartment management fees, city gas fees, electricity fees, and the four major social insurances using Samsung Card, they will receive a 5,000 KRW cashback benefit. Also, a monthly fee waiver of 700 KRW for apartment management fee automatic payments will be provided for 12 months (totaling 8,400 KRW).
Subscription economy-related services available to all Samsung Card members are also noteworthy. 'Samsung Card Digital Magazine' is a service that allows subscription to over 100 digital newspapers and magazines. The monthly fee is 5,900 KRW, and upon initial subscription, the fee is waived for two months until the following month after joining.
'Samsung Card Rental' offers various discounts and point accumulation benefits when rental fees are automatically paid with Samsung Card through partnerships with leading domestic rental brands such as SK Magic, Coway, and Bodyfriend.
The 'Sooja Card V4' series, launched last month, provides point accumulation benefits for automatic payments of living expenses such as apartment management fees, city gas, communication fees, four major insurances, rentals, and digital subscriptions. Samsung Card plans to continuously expand the merchants eligible for benefits on the Sooja Card V4 series, including new digital subscription services beyond Netflix, and to include related benefits in future new products.
